Please, everyone should listen very attentively now (Especially all 2017 JAMBITES) And those of you who have been misinformed and misled so far.
Good morning everyone.
For many of you that read my last post in the morning very well. I stated it clear that, I must find out the reality and/or truth behind the so called *"Compulsory uploading of WAEC/NECO RESULTS ON JAMB PORTAL"*.............Because, the confusion generated so far as regards this, has been really much and even causing panic at the moment.
I just spoke On phone with one of the principal officers that works with the JAMB's ICT unit in Abuja. Though, It wasn't easy reaching him since yesterday morning, as he refused to pick his calls.......However, he finally picked his call just around 5:Pm this yesterday evening and after introducing myself as a reporter with one of the media houses, (God forgive me for that impersonation tho)......I quickly asked him to clarify me on this 'WAEC Uploading" saga at the moment....
It's Now Clear!
The man Just said it plain that, JAMB is totally unaware of any directive, asking "all 2017 JAMBITES" to upload their O levels or whatever type of Result......
*He said that, JAMB only OPENED her Portal for "ONLY THOSE THAT HAD PUT AWAITING RESULT DURING REGISTRATION"* To upload their recently_Released WASSCE 2017 results.... Since such persons were not able to do so at the point of registration earlier this year.
He said that, those who uploaded their O level result during registration are not in anyway, part of this exercise........as JAMB already have their data intact.
He said that, those who took WAEC 2017 are asked to go ahead and scan and upload their results because, without such, JAMB cannot consider them qualified for this year's admission. He said that this could only be done at all Approved JAMB CBT centres and her zonal offices across the federation, *at a price not exceeding N300 (Three Hundred Naira).*
According to him, the entire stakeholders had, during the JAMB's just concluded admission policy meeting, unanimously agreed that all JAMB candidates must have their o level information stored in JAMB database before they could be endorsed for admission this year.
He also said that, JAMB didn't in anyway, at any time, tampered or cancelled the O LEVEL data or information of those who had uploaded theirs during registration, as being adduced by many of their CBT centre agents at the moment, stating that, their ICT unit has a Functional Central Information Storage System (FCISS) that retains virtually all information, all JAMB candidates supplies each year during UTME registration. He said that, JAMB cannot just asked everyone to start re-uploading their O LEVEL results, as such sees totally ludicrous and incredible.
Further more, the man just told me that JAMB registrar had directed them to leave the "result upload portal" open (accessible) till the release of NECO 2017, to allow the candidates upload their results as well, and also said that, everyone should disregard any information attaching a "deadline" to this effect.
I quickly asked him about the implication of uploading wrong O Level grades, he told me clearly that JAMB knows how best to know and fish out those who uploaded wrong information.
He stated that, JAMB has received numerous reports from many Nigerians for the past (2) two weeks, Of how many of her CBT centre agents/officials have sabotaged the "Uploading process" to extort and defraud many clueless JAMBITES..... As many of her CBT centres have been reported to have collected as much as N1000 and above for the uploading.
I was also told very clearly that, JAMB didn't send any message directly to any candidate to go and upload a result before before any purported deadline. According to him, messages were only sent to CBT Centre Owners and zonal offices ONLY. But, it has been discovered that many CBT centre owners/agents have unprofessionally and criminally gone wild to the extent of sending their own "self-composed" messages via BULK SMS to candidates.
Finally......
He said that, those whose results are currently withheld could still upload theirs during the admission processes of their chosen institutions or do so, once it's released (Provided that it doesn't exceed January 31st, 2018).
Now, let me personally say this clear.
I think we all have heard it clearly from one of those that works in the JAMB ICT unit, Abuja.... So please, if you know that you are not concerned in this exercise, please don't come and tell me that you were told to go and upload your result or this or that..... *PLEASE, I WILL NOT REPLY YOU!* .......But if this "UPLOADING" concerns you, as you have just heard, please go and upload your result if it is out......
